Maddie Meyers sets record, will run in France

Northwest School’s Maddie Meyers set the high-school record in the 2,000-meter steeplechase during the first day of the combined trials and USA Youth Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Myrtle Beach, S.C. .
Meyers finished in 6:32.02 and will now get the opportunity to represent the USA in Lille, France at the IAAF World Youth Championships, July 6-10. Glacier Peak’s Amy-Eloise Neale will represent Great Britain.
