Top-ranked Wayne and Trotwood-Madison basketball to face off
January 22nd, 2011
Wayne (10-1) and Trotwood-Madison (8-3), the DDN’s 1-2 teams in Division I, haven’t played in boys basketball since 2006. But that time limit is up tonight when the Warriors host the Rams at 7:30 p.m.
Trotwood has skidded in midseason, going 2-3 in its last five games, including a 71-60 loss to Dunbar at Fairmont’s Trent Arena on Sunday.
Despite not playing in five years, there’s history between Wayne and Trotwood. Warriors coach Travis Trice was an assistant for former Rams coach Larry Ham before leaving for Wayne.
The Warriors have won five straight since losing to Lakota East.
